Settings
The Settings section is where you manage everything related to your iNode account — from controlling who has access and what they can do, to updating your company's configuration and personalising your own profile. This page walks you through each section: Users, Company, and My Profile.
User
The Users section is where Owners manage who has access to the iNode account and what level of permissions each person holds. Before inviting someone, it's helpful to understand the four available roles and what each one allows.
User Roles
Owner: Has full permissions across the entire iNode account. As an Owner, you can invite new members, edit their roles, view and edit all Settings sections, and add or edit components such as sensors, links, and routes.
Admin: Has the same permissions as an Owner, except you cannot invite new members or edit user roles.
Data-Entry: Has the same permissions as Admin, except you cannot view or edit the Settings sections.
Read-Only: Can browse projects in the iNode account but cannot add or edit any components or change settings.
Inviting a New Member
If you are the Owner, follow these steps to invite a new member to iNode:
- Go to Settings > Users.
- Click the New Invitation button.
- In the pop-up window, enter the email address you want to invite and select their role.
- Click Send.
An invitation email will be sent to the address you provided, containing a link for the recipient to accept. Until they accept the invitation, they will not appear in the Users list - you can track outstanding invitations by clicking the Pending Invitations button.
Managing Existing Users
Once a member has been added to the iNode account, you can update their role at any time by clicking the pencil icon next to their name in the Users list. If you need to temporarily restrict someone's access without removing them entirely, you can uncheck the Active checkbox on their profile - this prevents them from logging in until re-enabled.
Company
The Company section is where you manage your organisation's account-level settings. From here, you can update your company information and adjust the colour speed percentage thresholds used for links and routes on the map. These thresholds determine how travel speeds are visualised relative to the Free Flow Speed - for example, at what percentage below Free Flow Speed a link turns yellow, orange, or red.
If your account uses Crowdsourced data, you can also view your total credit, remaining credit, and credit expiry date on this page.
My Profile
The My Profile section is where you manage your personal account details. Here, you can update your User Information, change your Password, and adjust your iNode Units preferences.
To change your password, check the Change Password checkbox to enable the password fields, then enter your current password followed by your new password.
In the Units section, you can set your preferred units for Speed, Distance, and Temperature. These settings only affect how data is displayed to you and do not change the underlying data in your account.
