Reports
The Reports feature in iNode Pulse allows you to generate customised data exports based on your selected links or routes, time ranges, and data types. Once a report is submitted, iNode processes it in the background and notifies you when it's ready - so you can carry on working while your data is compiled. This page walks you through how to create a report and how to manage your reports from the Reports Menu.
Creating a Report
Creating a report in iNode Pulse is a straightforward process that takes just a few steps to complete. Follow the steps below to configure your report and submit it for processing.
Step 1: Name Your Report
Enter a name for your report and a brief description. This helps you identify it later, especially if you plan to generate multiple reports over time.
The screenshot shows the top of the report creation form, where you fill in the report name and description fields before moving on to the data configuration options below.
Step 2: Select Your Data and Source Type
Select the Data Type and Source Type from the dropdown menus. The Source Type determines whether the data in your report is pulled from one or more individual links, or from an entire route. Once you've made that selection, choose which specific links or routes you want to include.
Step 3: Set Your Date Range and Filters
Set the Start Date and End Date for the data you want to include, along with the times of day you'd like to cover. If needed, you can also filter by Link Data Type - for example, choosing between Crowdsource 1 or Crowdsource 2 - to narrow down the source of your data.
The screenshot shows the date range, time-of-day, and Link Data Type filter options in the report creation form. The dropdowns allow you to refine exactly which data is pulled into your report.
Step 4: Submit Your Report
Choose whether you'd like to be notified when your report is ready for export. Once you click Submit, the report will appear in the Reports Menu, where you can also track its download progress.
Reports Menu
The Reports Menu gives you an overview of all the reports you've created, along with their key details at a glance. For each report, you'll see:
- Report Name: the name you assigned when creating the report
- Status: the current processing status of the report
- Progress Bar: a visual indicator of how far along the export is
- Date and Time Create: when the report was submitted
You can download any report directly from this page using the download options on the right-hand side. To view more details about a specific report, click on its name.
