TMC Study Results
Once your study has processed, the results page provides everything you need to review, manage, and export your turning movement counts. This includes:
- Your defined study parameters
- Options to download, archive, clone, check status, and delete your study
- Tools to refine and filter your results
- Options to export, visualize, and share your findings
Overview
The Overview tab summarizes the parameters used to configure your study, including:
- Project name
- Selected date range
- Selected time sets
- Selected approach and movements
Use this tab to confirm your study was set up as intended before reviewing results. The See Results button takes you directly to the TMC Results tab where your turning movement counts are displayed.
Managing Your Study
Six options are available for managing your study:
- Download: Export the results in GeoJSON format.
- Archive: Save the study for record-keeping or future reference.
- Clone: Duplicate the study with all defined parameters. This is useful if you want to run the same setup for different date ranges, simply adjust the dates in the cloned order while keeping all other settings unchanged.
- Share: Generate a shareable link to give external stakeholders access to your report. When creating the link, you set an expiry date to control how long access remains active. Once the link expires, it can no longer be used to view the report.
- Check Status: View the current processing status of your report. This is useful for monitoring progress and confirming when results are ready to review.
- Delete: Permanently remove the study from your workspace
TMC Results
The TMC Results tab displays your analysis results through an interactive map view, showing the estimated turning movement counts for the selected intersection. From this view, you can see how traffic distributes across each movement and approach, left turn, through, and right turn, for your defined study period.
Tools to Refine Your Data
Three filtering options are available to focus your analysis:
- Type: Toggle the results display between Counts and Percentages.
- Date Range: Filter results by Weekdays or Weekends.
- Bounds: Select a specific directional movement of the intersection (e.g., northbound, southbound) to focus your analysis on a single movement.
Viewing Detailed Results
To drill into more detail, click any count displayed on the map. This opens a graph below the map showing the average daily turning movement count across your selected date range broken down by time interval.
You can also enable the Average Daily Sample Size overlay, which plots the corresponding sample size alongside the turning movement count. This allows you to assess the confidence of the estimate relative to the underlying data for any given period.
Exporting Your Results
To export your results, click the export icon on the results page. Your turning movement counts will be downloaded to your device as an Excel file.
